Speak Up Alexandra

Speak Up Alexandra is a self advocacy group run for and by people with an intellectual disability. Together they learn new skills, build confidence and speak up about the things that matter to them.

For example, Speak Up Alexandra members put on an exhibition as part of the Dangerous Deeds roadshow to raise awareness about intellectual disability, human rights and self advocacy in their local community.

The group keeps each other informed about the NDIS and speaks up for people with disabilities living in rural areas to fully participate in their community.

The group meets once a month.
